My parents have built up this traditional family business since 1959, at that time as the first bed and breakfast with "central heating" in the village.

With the opening of the Felbertauern Road (in 1968), guest tourism in Defereggental gained momentum; as a result, several tourist businesses were established. This also prompted my parents to expand and further develop the guesthouse.

Because my parents reached retirement age, the inn was handed over to their son Werner in 1985.

At the end of the 90's Werner Unterkircher met his wife Othilia. From this marriage came three children: Florian, Andrea and Stefan.
